On the morning of May 30, 2025 at the Investment Conference of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in 2025 with the theme "SELECT BRVT", Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (PM3 SIP) was officially granted the Investment Registration Certificate for the Phu My Warehouse Project - a key logistics infrastructure project to enhance connectivity, optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs for investors.
The conference was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, representatives of central ministries, branches, diplomatic missions, international organizations and more than 250 domestic and foreign enterprises and investors.
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh highly appreciated the province's efforts to attract investment. By the end of May 2025, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province had attracted 503 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 34.7 billion USD, ranking 5th nationwide. At the same time, the province also had 712 domestic investment projects with a total capital of nearly 470,000 billion VND. Despite accounting for only 0.6% of the country’s land area and just over 1% of the country's population, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has made significant strides with many outstanding achievements in 2024: ranking 6th in GRDP, 4th in budget revenue and 5th in FDI attraction.
Notably, TOKUYAMA Corporation – an investor of the Global Silicon Project at PM3 SIP – shared information about the first Polysilicon factory in Vietnam, with a total investment of more than 60 million USD. The project is expected to lay the foundation for the semiconductor industry in Vietnam – a key sector promoting high-tech development across various economic fields.
PM3 SIP is currently the only specialized industrial park in Vietnam developed under a cooperation agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Japan, with support from the Cooperation Agency between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Japan, with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. PM3 SIP is also being oriented to become a smart industrial park, applying digital technology in management and operation, aiming to form a modern and sustainable industrial ecosystem in the Southeast region.
