Copy of PHU MY 3 INDUSTRIAL PARK - THE JOURNEY TO BECOME A PIONEER ECO-INDUSTRIAL PARK

On November 19, at Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure (Sweden) officially inaugurated a new manufacturing facility – the company’s second project in Vietnam after the first plant in Dong Nai. The event marks a significant milestone in Trelleborg’s strategy to expand its global production network.

The plant covers 6 hectarers with a total investment of nearly VND 1.4 trillion and is designed with an annual production capacity of 6,700 tons. It will serve as a key manufacturing hub for heavy-duty rubber fenders and specialized polymer equipment for maritime industry, including cylindrical, cone, and block fenders; corrosion-resitant rubber-lined steel pinpes; load-bearing rubber-lined steel plates; steel-rubber connecting components; mooring systems and bollards for seaports; and notably, andvanced automated berthing systems.

According to Trelleborg representatives, the Phu My 3 facility is not only a new manufacturing site but also an intergrated technology center aligned with the company's sustainability and steel fabrication to electronic assembly. The facility will replace long-standing operations in Singapore, enabling Trelleborg to shorten delivery times, enhance product customization, and strengthen its service capacity for global markets, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to core products, the new plant expands its capabilities to produce marine and infrastructure solutions such as mooring equipment, navigation and pilotage support systems, engineered rubber products, steel fabrication, and high-performance sealing systems. Trelleborg’s polymer technologies also encompass widely used maritime solutions, including floating buoys, navigation aids, tunnel sealing systems, dredging hoses, water management solutions, vibration isolation for structures, and offshore-grade polymer gaskets.

Once again, Phu My3 Specialized Industrial Part extends its warmest congratulations to Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure. We remain committed to supporting the project to ensure efficient operations and sustainable growth in the years ahead.
