Vung Tau, 20.1.2024 - Today, at Ky Hoa Vung Tau Hotel, Thanh Nien Newspaper held the closing ceremony and awarded the writing contest of the The Spirit of the East, with the companion of PM3SIP (Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park); the program was broadcast live on Thanh Nien Online social media channels: Fanpage, YouTube and TikTok Thanh Nien Newspaper.
After more than 4 months (from 21.7 to 30.11.2023), The Spirit of the East writing contest has received more than 500 entries, including letters and emails. Besides most authors in 7 provinces and cities in the Southeast: Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City. In HCMC, the contest received many articles from authors in other regions who had time to stick or visit and were impressed with the love of people and love in the East. In particular, there are also foreign authors living and working in the Southeast, including the selected article "Vietnam" has occupied a place in my heart of the British author - pen name Wordup77, living and working in Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City City.
In terms of age, the contest attracts authors from high school students to the 6X, 5X generations and even has a 92-year-old author – Nguyen Nhu Suong, whose chosen article is Tay Ninh (Tay Ninh is where she has been a bride for 70 years, And as she writes, "Time is enough to change 3 generations and go through how many star changes, how many ups and downs of history...").
Within the framework of the contest, Thanh Nien Newspaper also organized the seminar Attracting Green Investment: Filtering the industry or reducing emissions, which took place on 5.12 in Ho Chi Minh City City, attended by representatives of competent ministries, sectors, leading economic and environmental experts in Vietnam and the presence of domestic and foreign enterprises to give the most specific answers about green production processes, reducing net emissions in practice.
